boollooc은 직선에서 갑자기 나타나는 곡선의 의외성을 통해 우리에게 직접 말을 거는 쓰레기통입니다. 철판 몸체에 고정된 실리콘은 내부에 쓰레기가 참에 따라 자연스럽게 부풀게 됩니다.
boollooc is a trash can that talks directly to us through the unexpectedness of a curve that suddenly appears in a straight line. Silicone fixed to the body of the iron plate naturally swells as the garbage inside is filled
Background
더울때 땀이나고 힘들면 숨이차고 부끄러울때 얼굴이 붉게 달아 오르는것 처럼, 우리의 몸은 우리가 느끼는것과 연결되는 다양한 암시들로 가득차 있습니다. 그러한 암시의 일종으로, 음식을 만족할만큼 섭취하고 배가 불러오는것은 우리에게 무척이나 자연스러운 일입니다.
Just as we sweat when it's hot and our faces burn red when we're out of breath when we're tired and embarrassed, our bodies are full of various hints that connect with what we feel. As a kind of suggestion, it's very natural for us to eat satisfactorily and have a full stomach.
Form
boollooc의 이야기는 사각형에서부터 출발합니다. 수직으로 연장된 사각형은 하나의 덩어리를 만듭니다. 덩어리는 대각선으로 나누어짐으로써 하나의 새로운 평면을 만들어냅니다. 우리는 이 단면을 통해 이야기를 시작하고자 합니다.
The story of the bollooc starts with a square. A vertically extended rectangle creates a lump. The mass is divided diagonally to create a new plane. We're going to start talking through this section.
Motif
직선과 직선의 만남은 우리에게 당연해 보입니다. 사뭇 날카롭고 평온해 보일 수 있는 직선의 이야기에 곡선이 등장한다면 어떤 일이 일어날까요? boollooc은 통통하게 부푼것을 의미하는 한국의 의태어인 "불룩"에서 따온 이름입니다. boollooc은 직선에서 갑자기 나타나는 곡선의 의외성을 통해 우리에게 직접 말을 거는 쓰레기통입니다.
It seems natural for us to meet a straight line. What would happen if a curve appeared in a story of a straight line that could seem sharp and serene? boollooc is named after the Korean mimetic word "buluk," which means plump. Boollooc is a trash can that talks directly to us through the unexpectedness of a curve that suddenly appears in a straight line.
Structure
boollooc의 몸체는 하나의 금속판(2T)을 자르고 밴딩하여 제작됩니다. 외부는 실리콘 커버로 마감됩니다.
The body of the bollooc is made by cutting and bending one metal plate (2T). The exterior is finished with a silicone cover.
Assemble
접힌 금속판은 실리콘 커버로 감싸지며 추가로 실리콘 홀더를 통해 금속 몸체와 단단하게 고정됩니다. 몸체에는 봉투를 씌울 수 있으며, 봉투가 흘러내리지 않도록 밴딩된 금속 뚜껑을 통해 고정됩니다. 금속뚜껑은 고정의 기능 외에도 오프셋 되는 삼각형 조형을 통해 쓰레기통을 넣는 방향성을 강조합니다.
The folded metal plate is wrapped in a silicon cover and secured firmly to the metal body by a silicon holder. The body can be covered with a garbage bag and secured through a metal lid which is bent to prevent the bag from flowing down. In addition to the function of fixing, the metal lid emphasizes the direction of putting the trash can through the offset triangular shape.
boollooc의 크기는 W : 290 / D : 290 / H : 836 (MM) 입니다. 이는 일반적인 성인이 직립한 채 내려다 보며 쉽게 쓰레기를 넣을 수 있는 크기입니다.
The size of the balloon is W: 290 / D: 290 / H: 836 (MM). This is the size that an average adult can easily put trash in while looking down while standing upright.
Space
쓰레기통은 혼자 놓기이도 하지만 분리수거를 위해 여러개가 함께 놓기기도 합니다. 사격형의 단순한 조형은 여러개의 boollooc이 조합되었을때 공간에 하나의 놀이로써 기능하도록 합니다. 우리는 이러한 조합을 통해 공간의 코너와 벽면에 자유롭게 boollooc을 구성할 수 있습니다.
Trash cans can be put alone, but they can be put together for separate the trash. The simple form allows it to function as a play in space when multiple bolloocs are combined. Through this combination, we can freely construct the boollooc on the corners and walls of the space.
